Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Forecast models and National Weather Service guidance currently point to a daily high near 91°F in New York City on August 8, driven by a persistent Bermuda High pattern that favors southerly flow, elevated dew points, and minimal cloud cover. This aligns closely with the market's heaviest weighting on the 90–91°F and 92–93°F bins, reflecting trader consensus around an outcome well above the 83°F seasonal average. Recent model runs show limited spread, with only modest afternoon convection risk that could trim the peak by 1–2°F. Official Central Park or LaGuardia observations will determine resolution, and any last-minute shift in steering winds or timing of sea-breeze effects remains the key variable still priced into the lower-probability tails.
