Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Zacatecas on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Zacatecas gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Zacatecas and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Zacatecas and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.**The Zacatecas gubernatorial race for 2027 remains wide open more than a year before the vote, with trader probabilities reflecting a fragmented field and unresolved party nominations.** Verónica Díaz Robles leads recent internal Morena surveys at roughly 30-33%, ahead of Ulises Mejía Haro and others, yet no candidate exceeds low-30s support in published polling, while opposition options such as PRI’s Adolfo Bonilla and PAN figures register measurable but secondary backing. Morena’s structural advantage in the state keeps its eventual nominee favored overall, but the absence of finalized candidacies, ongoing coalition talks involving PT and PVEM, and typical volatility in early-cycle Mexican state races sustain the even split across contenders. Security concerns, economic conditions, and federal alignment could shift momentum once primaries clarify.
