The 2026 Winnipeg mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 28, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Winnipeg as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from Winnipeg. The crowded field of more than 10 registered candidates for Winnipeg's October 28, 2026 mayoral election, including incumbent Scott Gillingham and challengers such as Joshua Pagdato, Mazher Alam, Umar Hayat, Michael Vogiatzakis, Christopher Clacio, Don Woodstock, Johnny Calderon, Noah Redden, Zachary Uminski, and recent entrant Brad Gross, has produced closely matched trader odds. A June Probe Research poll indicated limited support for Gillingham's re-election amid concerns over homelessness, addictions, transit, and public safety, yet no opponent has consolidated backing from key voting blocs. With candidate registration open until September 22 and vote fragmentation likely under the city's electoral system, the absence of dominant polling leads or major endorsements keeps implied probabilities tight across contenders. Developments such as late endorsements, candidate withdrawals, or shifts in local policy debates could alter positioning before election day.
