Incumbent Rachel De Basso (S) holds the post under current arrangements, but national polling trends show a competitive landscape with S ahead overall while the governing bloc trails, leaving regional seat shares and alliance possibilities uncertain. Listed contenders including Håkan Karlsson-Nyborg (SD) and several others from major parties reflect the fragmented field typical of proportional representation systems, where small shifts in turnout or bloc alignments can alter the majority needed for the chair. No major recent announcements on candidate slates or coalition pacts have emerged in the past month to shift implied probabilities, keeping trader consensus balanced across options ahead of final nominations and election-night results.
