Recent opinion polls for Sweden’s September 13 parliamentary election show Kristdemokraterna (KD) support fluctuating between 6.1% and 7.5%, placing the party just above or near the 6% line that defines this market. As a junior partner in the Tidö coalition with the Moderates and Liberals, KD benefits from right-bloc consolidation on issues such as crime and integration but faces pressure from the centre-left’s lead in national surveys. Modest recent gains for KD within the bloc, combined with undecided voters and the four-percent electoral threshold dynamics, underpin traders’ narrow consensus that the party is slightly more likely than not to finish over 6%.
