Recent Swedish opinion polls show Vänsterpartiet and Kristdemokraterna trading narrow leads in the low-to-mid single digits ahead of the 13 September 2026 Riksdag election, keeping the race for higher vote share tightly balanced. V has posted stronger results in several spring and early summer surveys, while KD recorded gains in the most recent August readings amid broader volatility for smaller parties. The current Tidö government arrangement and opposition red-green dynamics influence voter flows between blocs, with turnout patterns and late campaign mobilization likely to decide the final margin between these two. Any sustained shift in economic sentiment, immigration focus, or alliance signaling could tip the outcome before election day.
