Recent polling trends position Sweden Democrats (SD) ahead of Moderates (M) by roughly three percentage points ahead of the September 13, 2026, parliamentary election, with SD at approximately 20% and M near 17% in July–August surveys from Novus, Demoskop, and others. This consistent gap in voter intentions, amid stable support for the broader right-wing Tidö bloc and a modest lead for the left-leaning parties overall, underpins traders’ assessment of SD’s edge in direct vote share. Campaign dynamics, including SD’s focus on immigration and welfare issues alongside M’s governance record as the largest coalition partner, have sustained the relative positioning without major reversals in the past month. The market’s 55% implied probability for SD reflects this polling consensus while acknowledging remaining campaign volatility before election day.
