Recent polling averages position Die Linke as the frontrunner for third place in the September 20, 2026 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landtag election. Infratest dimap and INSA surveys from June and July show AfD leading at 35-36 percent, SPD in second at 28-29 percent, and Linke holding steady near 11-12 percent. CDU trails at 9-10 percent, while Grüne, BSW, and FDP sit below or near the five-percent threshold. This gap has persisted across multiple waves, reflecting limited recent shifts in voter preferences or campaign developments that would alter the projected finish order. Trader consensus reflects these stable survey trends and the low likelihood of late swings altering third-place standings.
