Recent polling for Berlin's September 20 state election shows a tight multi-party contest, with AfD support fluctuating between 17-19% alongside the Left party and CDU, producing seat projections clustered around 29-34. July surveys marked the first time AfD topped a Berlin poll at 19%, reflecting gains in eastern districts, yet later aggregates indicate Linke edging ahead at roughly 20% amid stable CDU and Green shares near 18%. All mainstream parties continue to rule out coalitions with AfD, focusing competition on vote shares rather than governing pacts. Regional turnout differences, late-campaign shifts, and national CDU-led dynamics could alter final seat totals before election day.
