Gold prices have climbed sharply to around $4,340 per ounce following disappointing July nonfarm payrolls that showed a 23,000 job loss versus expectations for gains, reducing near-term Federal Reserve rate-hike odds and supporting safe-haven demand. Persistent Middle East tensions and sticky inflation readings continue to anchor real yields while limiting downside, with traders monitoring upcoming CPI and PPI releases for August that could shift implied policy paths. The dollar's trajectory and Treasury yield movements remain key swing factors for XAUUSD volatility heading into the week of August 10.
