EDward Gaming enters the August 14 LPL Split 3 Group Ascend BO3 against LGD Gaming on a prolonged skid, posting an 0-7 record in recent group play with no wins in their last five matches. LGD snapped a head-to-head drought by sweeping EDG 2-0 on July 22 in the same stage, capitalizing on early-game leads that exposed EDG’s coordination issues. Both squads sit near the bottom of the group standings, reflecting broader roster instability and inconsistent macro execution amid the current meta. Historical series favor EDG overall, yet recent form, LGD’s improved early-game aggression, and EDG’s lack of momentum shape the current trader consensus around a competitive but narrow edge for the home side.
