FaZe enters the August 13 best-of-three as the consensus favorite in Esports World Cup Group B, driven by their top-10 VRS ranking, deeper international experience, and stronger historical map execution against South American sides. Legacy, ranked around 15th globally, opened the event with a convincing win over Ninjas in Pyjamas and relies on disciplined anchor play plus entry fragging to challenge in the group stage. Both teams showed solid form in their August 12 opening matches, with FaZe defeating BetBoom, but the longer series format rewards map-pool familiarity and mid-round adjustments where FaZe's veteran core typically holds an edge. Recent roster stability and LAN momentum for Legacy introduce realistic upset variance in this matchup.
