This market will resolve in favor of the team that finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most special teams and defensive touchdowns (kickoff return, punt return, blocked kick, interception return, and fumble return touchdowns). In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team with more total takeaways (interceptions plus fumble recoveries) during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the team with more combined kickoff and punt return yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to “Other”. If the 2026-27 NFL season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which team led the NFL in special teams and defensive touchdowns (kickoff return, punt return, blocked kick, interception return, and fumble return touchdowns) within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 NFL regular season has yet to begin, leaving the special teams and defensive touchdowns leader market tightly bunched around 48-50% implied probability across dozens of teams because these scores remain low-volume, high-variance events driven by turnovers, return production, blocked kicks, and situational breaks rather than consistent team strengths. Post-draft roster upgrades have bolstered defensive lines and return units league-wide, with clubs such as the Jets, Seahawks, Colts, and Rams highlighted for special-teams continuity or additions, yet no single side has established a durable edge in generating non-offensive scores. Historical patterns show wide year-to-year swings in this category, keeping trader consensus evenly distributed until regular-season data on forced fumbles, interception returns, and kick/punt production emerges.
