The Eagles, despite a 4-16 record and bottom-ladder position, showed strong clearance work and inside-50 dominance against Richmond before poor conversion cost them the result, while maintaining a clean injury report under coach Andrew McQualter. Collingwood sits mid-table with an 11-8 mark after a six-game winning streak ended against Geelong, but must manage hamstring and arm concerns for key defenders Harry Perryman and Jeremy Howe ahead of the interstate trip. Home-ground factors at the Eagles' Perth venue, combined with emerging talent such as Harley Reid and ruck influence from Bailey Williams, offset Collingwood's superior percentage and recent form to produce the even implied probabilities. Any confirmed absences or travel-related fatigue for the Magpies, or continued wasteful finishing from West Coast, could quickly shift sentiment ahead of the bounce.
