This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 2 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 2; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 Ligue 2 campaign opened with a tightly bunched field where recently relegated sides like FC Nantes and FC Metz, alongside AS Saint-Étienne, Stade de Reims, and Montpellier HSC, carry comparable squad depth and top-flight experience that supports their promotion pushes. Early results after the August 8 kickoff show Saint-Étienne and Dunkerque atop the table, yet the automatic promotion spots remain wide open amid a schedule featuring multiple ambitious clubs such as Red Star, Rodez AF, and newly promoted Dijon FCO. This parity, combined with the playoff structure for third through fifth, sustains trader consensus around even implied probabilities for the runner-up spot, as no single side has separated itself through form, transfers, or results in the opening matches.
