This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the LaLiga for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of LaLiga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of LaLiga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The closely bunched probabilities across more than a dozen clubs for LaLiga 2026-27 runner-up reflect the absence of a clear second favorite behind expected title challengers Barcelona and Real Madrid. Pre-season models highlight a broad group including Atlético Madrid, Villarreal, Real Betis, Athletic Bilbao, and Real Sociedad as plausible contenders for second place, with varying European commitments, recent squad reinforcements, and home/away form adding uncertainty. Newly promoted sides such as Deportivo La Coruña and Racing Santander introduce further variability in the mid-table and upper-reach battles, while financial constraints and roster turnover at clubs like Valencia and Sevilla limit any single team’s ability to pull away. This setup leaves the runner-up position highly contested through the 38-match schedule.
