The 2026 K League 1 season features an unusually open runner-up race driven by a deep, balanced field where no single side has pulled clear. FC Seoul sits atop the table after a strong unbeaten stretch, yet Ulsan HD, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Gangwon FC, and Pohang Steelers remain within striking distance through consistent results and favorable fixtures. Mid-table clubs such as Gwangju FC, Jeju SK, and Incheon United continue to harvest points against the top group, while promoted sides like FC Anyang add further parity. With the split format still in place and roughly half the campaign remaining, small swings in form, injuries, or head-to-head outcomes can reorder the standings quickly. Trader pricing reflects this lack of separation, treating nearly every club as a plausible contender for second place.
