The 2026 Categoría Primera B season features a wide-open promotion race in Colombia’s second division, where multiple clubs maintain realistic paths to the title amid the split Apertura-Finalización format and subsequent playoffs. Early standings show tight clusters at the top, with Envigado F.C., Inter de Palmira, Deportes Quindío, and Real Cartagena posting strong records and positive goal differences through the opening weeks, while sides such as Boca Juniors de Cali, Tigres F.C., and Patriotas Boyacá remain within striking distance on recent form. Recent relegations have injected higher-quality squads into the division, flattening the gap between frontrunners and mid-table challengers. No single team has established sustained dominance, and fixture congestion plus variable home/away splits continue to compress probabilities across the field. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with implied probabilities staying closely bunched as the campaign progresses toward the postseason.
