The 2026 Brasileirão Série C remains wide open for runner-up honors after 16 rounds of the group stage, with Inter de Limeira atop the table on 28 points and a cluster of clubs—Brusque, Botafogo-PB, Paysandu, Guarani, Santa Cruz, and others—separated by just a handful of points. Recent results have kept momentum fluid, as teams trade wins and draws while chasing the top-eight cutoff that feeds the knockout phase and promotion playoffs. Tight schedules, strong home records for several contenders, and balanced squad depth have prevented any single side from pulling clear, leaving trader consensus reflected in the near-even implied probabilities across the field. Minor shifts in form or key injuries could quickly reorder the chase before the second stage begins.
