Team Vitality enters the Esports World Cup 2026 BO5 matchup against FURIA Esports as the favored EU side following consistent results at the RLCS 2026 Paris Major, where they secured multiple series wins against top competition. FURIA, the leading SAM qualifier, has posted strong showings in regional opens this season, including first-place finishes that secured their invitation. The August 12 upper-bracket contest in Paris features standard Rocket League rules with no reported roster changes or meta shifts altering preparation. Historical head-to-head edges and home-region advantages for European squads contribute to current implied probabilities, though FURIA's aggressive style has produced upsets in prior international events. Schedule congestion and travel remain secondary factors for both rosters.
