Vadym Ursu faces 18-year-old Indian prospect Manas Dhamne in the Astana Challenger on outdoor hard courts. Dhamne, who reached a career-high ranking of 362 in early August after strong ITF and early Challenger results, brings recent momentum and a higher current ranking than the 29-year-old Ukrainian. Ursu, with a career-high of 299 but inconsistent 2026 form marked by several early exits, relies on experience and serve consistency on the surface. Limited prior head-to-head history and the fast hard-court conditions in Kazakhstan favor the younger player’s athleticism, while Ursu’s veteran court craft offers upset potential in what appears a closely contested qualifier or main-draw matchup.
