Hamad Medjedovic enters the Cincinnati Open first-round matchup as the clear favorite, holding a ranking advantage near No. 68-73 compared to Marco Trungelliti’s position around No. 90-95. The 23-year-old Serbian brings recent hard-court experience from Montreal and a prior 7-5, 6-4 victory over the Argentine veteran on clay in Barcelona earlier in 2026. Trungelliti, at 36, has shown resilience with wins in Toronto qualifiers and Kitzbühel but faces a steeper challenge on the faster Cincinnati hard courts against a younger player with greater athleticism and recent momentum. Head-to-head history and ranking gaps have shaped trader consensus, though late injuries or surface-specific adjustments could still influence the outcome in this Masters 1000 draw.
