Quentin Halys enters this Cincinnati Open qualifying match as the clear market favorite due to his higher ranking near No. 54 and stronger recent ATP-level results, including a maiden title win at the July 2026 Kitzbühel event on clay where he defeated top seed Alexander Bublik in the final. Halys also posted solid hard-court showings earlier in the season, such as reaching the Miami fourth round before falling to Zverev. Soon-Woo Kwon, ranked No. 153 and returning from military service in July, has compiled strong Challenger results with three titles in 2026 but limited recent main-tour exposure, including an early Wimbledon exit. With no prior head-to-head meetings and both players comfortable on outdoor hard courts, trader pricing reflects Halys’ greater consistency and experience at this level while acknowledging Kwon’s upset potential in a single-elimination qualifier.
