The Samsun Challenger doubles opener on hard courts pits Turkish wild cards Mert Alkaya and Tuncay Duran against the Brazilian pairing of Luis Britto and Natan Rodrigues. Alkaya and Duran, who reached the M25 Monastir doubles final earlier in 2026, benefit from home-soil support and recent momentum despite the pair’s sub-.500 win rate this season. Britto and Rodrigues bring stronger doubles pedigree, with Rodrigues holding a top-300 doubles ranking and recent Challenger experience on similar surfaces. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving surface preference, break-point conversion, and first-set momentum as primary swing factors in what projects as a tightly contested early-round encounter.
